Please tell us all about yourself. Talk to us about both your childhood and adult years. Where you grew up, a little about parents/siblings, schooling, jobs, relationships, etc. The more we know about you, the better. This allows us to intelligently speak with the prosecutor about you during negotiations.
No one knows the facts of your case better than you do. We will have you relay this to us in your own words, and we will have the police reports, witness statements, etc. But nothing beats typing up the facts yourself.
If you're on the fence about whether a particular fact is relevant or not, please include it. We'll judge the relevance. It's better to have facts that we don't need than to be missing facts we do need.
No one wants a criminal conviction on their record, but the impact of such a conviction varies from client to client. Will you lose your job? What impact would a conviction have on your family? Immigration consequences? Other repercussions?
We of course want to know the basics such as what/when/where/sentence, etc. However, we also want to know more details. Please provide us with some context of what happened and why. Perhaps you had some stress in your life at the time that led the the incident, for instance.
